Just for the record, they'd be foolish to do something different. You done good Steve. This is exactly what I had in mind when I asked for some forum improvements. Easy linking and photo adding, adding a video is slick, navigation smooth, and a few treats as well. Cool stuff.

This place has more traffic in a few hours from good, honest-to-Betsy backpackers than TheSiteWhichShallNotBeNamed (TSWSNBN) is getting in a day.
'nuff said.
I just need to find an icon that isn't bald.

I miss this place, but not to sound old...what it used to be. Here's hoping it will be again. Thanks, bp2go...thanks for keeping the faith.

Looking good so far! I still have a few "personal" tweeks (not twerks) to make, but I will get it figured out.

Greetings from Firebug. Looks good. I was never a frequent poster but stopped in and read frequently. Usually only had posts in the Midwest hiking section were I was able to meet and hike with a quite a few hikers. site looks good so far. I started on the Forums way back when I saw the first article in backpacker about having a forum. I logged on with my new, screaming fast 32K modem at that time.

Where's that MoonPie smiley when I need one? Welcome back, Preacher. Thank you, kind sir. As for a Moon Pie smiley, that would just lead me into more temptation.

Like a dry pair of socks after a cold, wet, muddy day. Edit: Easy registration, no Gravitron, nice font size, preview function, and an up vote button, thanks to all responsible.

And from my iPhone it looks just fine! Remarkable.
And as some one mentioned above: thank you.
Eta: and when I had to just edit an auto fill error: snap and it was corrected!

Steve, all I can say is thank you. The new place automatically feels like welcoming and easy to use. You may have saved our little community.

I saw that. I need to explain the feature. You select only the text that helps others understand what you're commenting on. You selected all the text, now here you see the difference. This is a great way to stop the old habit of people quoting an entire post, then the next person quoted that entire post, ad nauseum. This is a clean and useful alternative.- - - Q: Do you have the option on the right-side Gear icon to delete your own post?

Q: Do you have the option on the right-side Gear icon to delete your own post? Apparently, I do.
