On a trip to Acadia last week, I tried a new item: Ployes. I figured it would be true to the French Acadian heritage of the area and would be a nice change from pancakes. Unfortunately, I could not for the life of me get them to firm up like pancakes do. They took a long time to cook and were near impossible to flip. 1. Any hints on how to better make them in camp? I usually bring a fry pan. 2. I have most of the bag left over. Anything I can use it for that isn't ployes-based? All the recipes on their website says to make them first and then fill them with something. 3. Although it seems like they can be made into crepes, I couldn't figure out how to do this in a fry pan. Any better ideas? Thanks, Steve

I Googled how to cook PloyesHot water seems like an important part. Should be able to make one at a time in a fry pan.
Did they bubble at all? If not maybe the baking powder in the mix went flat.
This one says what is basically in Ployes: www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ployes-2108268I didn't look for any recipe that needs a buckwheat and white flour mix but I'm guessing there is. And thank you. I learned something. Never heard of a Ploye before.
