Tough people these cyclists. Adrenalin is a wonderful thing. Lol ALL the best drugs are natural! And made by our own bodies. #NatureKnowsBest

Adrenalin is a wonderful thing. Lol ALL the best drugs are natural! And made by our own bodies. #NatureKnowsBest I used a little myself this evening. I tripped on a root while trail running, and pulled/tore my hamstring. I still had to meet my daughter back at the trailhead in 20 minutes, so I ran-hobbled a mile to a campground to catch a ride with Park Police. I'm not looking forward to tomorrow morning.

Ouch. Yeah the following couple of days, especially for some reason in my experience day 2, can be unpleasant. I guess evolution thinks if we made it past 24-48 hours either the emergency to be fled is over or we’re Tyrannosaur food.

Update: The hamstring feels surprisingly good this morning. I won't be running for awhile, but I can walk with just a minor limp. Maybe tomorrow I'll see if I can ride my bike.

It's been a pretty exciting TdF so far. I fast forwarded through most of yesterday's stage, only to find out they were talking about 3 pelotons. So I had to rewind a bit to see what happened. Smart move by Ineos.

Never thought I’d admit to enjoying watching men in spandex riding hard.

Sounds like Rohan Dennis just up and quit the Tour in the midst of today’s stage in some sort of pique. He has a reputation for being difficult. Weird.

Probably to do with the bike they had for him for the time trial (the next stage) . He has had "problems" about that before.

There is still no explanation, as far as I can tell.

Stage 10: Team Sky Team Ineos, ever the smart boys, pulled a SURPRISE! SURPRISE! by putting themselves in control and putting Geraint Thomas in position for the Pyrenees. Movistar lost bigtime, Pinot got ditched. And, then today, Thomas got wumped by Pinot. Ineos seems to be in disarray after the unexpected TT win by Alaphilippe yesterday. Frenchmen 1-2. Yowsa!

With Pinot winning on the Tourmalet Allaphillipe is so far the only repeat stage winner. Going to be entertaining going forward with all those tough mountain stages to come.
Deceuninck–Quick-Step has been having its usual winning season so they should have the team to back up the 2019 Critérium du Dauphiné KOM winner, a week long stage Race but still: Mountains.

I programmed my NordicTrack treadmill to follow the D918 from the village of Sainte-Marie de Campan to Col du Tourmalet. That's more than 10.5 miles - I was only able to complete 3 miles of the early going before switching to an old map that runs through 6 miles of northeastern San Francisco. Yeah, it's all imaginary, but it's kinda fun: my NordicTrack uses an internet connection to produce Google streetview where it's available. I have a long ways to go ... before I can complete that hill.

gabby - Your post reminded me of this company that films running routes using Segways. One can then download, and the program interacts with the fitness equipment (grade, speed, etc.). They just filmed one of popular local races. I thought it was a pretty neat idea. www.outsideinteractive.com/
