I am in the Durango area and creek runoff is something to pay close attention to. I had planned a loop hike to Emerald Lake but I fortunately called the US Forest Service and was told that several creek crossing on my planned route after Emerald Lake were unsafe. Really glad I made the call. One of the crossings I did last year on the Vallecito was calf deep last year and now is a raging river. Southern CO still has a lot of high elevation snow and lower part of Colorado Trail from Molas to Durango is still snowed in in places.
