I am planning to hike about 50 miles of the Florida Trail in January. I'm looking for a new section of trail that I haven't done that will be reasonably warm and have few if any road walks. Also, not looking for a wet section.
Sections I've already done:
Ocala NF (Seminole SF to Rodman Dam)
Ocean 2 Lake Trail (all / wet)
Big Cypress (all / wet)
Appalachicola (too cold in January / wet)
Forever Florida to Lake Okeechobee (including Avon AFB, Mosquito Hammock, Montsdeoca Ranch and 3 Lakes WMA)
The 50 mile section just North of Rodman Dam looks good except for about an 8 mile roadwalk right in the middle of it.
Any suggestions?
