As some of you know, we had to deal with a hacking of our sites, then issues with Google not scanning the site - and being punished with a "dangerous site" even though all malware was gone. The upside? It forced me to sit down and rebuild TrailCooking from ground up (though it looks nearly the same) and is on a stable host now. It has allowed me to update things and trim bloat as well *The only downside is we were not able to move over the blog of 11 years, only bringing the last few entries. It just wasn't feasible.

Looks great. It has been a long while since I looked at TrailCooking, though both of your first books just moved backup to the top of stack as I am introducing a friend and daughter to one pot meals and salads through dehydrating and home packaging. I use a 900 ml Evernew TI pot with a truck stop beanie-cozy instead of FB for rehydrating. The pot can take on a can of C-store chili in an emergency (horrors). Or for snow melting in small batches.

The old site was great, and this one is too. Even if one doesn't cook this way or use the recipes it is fun and interesting reading. Thanks for all the work that you put into it!

Hey sarbar! Wanted you to know that the FBC meal I referenced in my Backpacking Food video (thread next to this one) was your recipe. I had been using it so long, forgot where it came from until researching for the video and tracked it back to you! I put a link in the description to your website. Thanks so much for all your work!

You have a Colcannon recipe! Colcannon on the trail? Don't mind if I do. My belly thanks you for that. Going to have to get some ingredients together.
