What did you think of that stuff? I have mixed a couple at home to see if it worked. For most of my camping, the lack of really cold water will be a major detriment. I liked it, for what it is. It doesn't compare to a real beer at home, but it's definitely the best "instant beer" option I've ever had. Good carbonation as well (which is why it requires their special little Nalgene cap to do the pressurization/carbonation). We all pretty-much universally thought the Sodas tasted like garbage, but the beers were actually not bad. A lack of cold water would definitely be a downer though.

Yeah, thanks guys-- I could see from the little artifacts at the edge of the photo that I didn't quite get it right. The first time I tried to "share image" in the "how to do things" area, it worked fine. The next time it wouldn't work, but I could get something to shyow up using the share link. I'll get it fine-tuned. My laptop died and I am working on my husband's Chromebook-- it has it's own little ways...
Looking back, I see that my buddy in the photo was a darned spooky dude...

Oops, guess I'm not doing this right. Guess I'll learn how to import images eventually. Can't seem to get into the section that tells us how to do that. Okay, got it! Gila Wilderness, last November.

I'm on the left! This was after our Grand Canyon 5-day, 4-night Boucher - Tonto - Bright Angel trip in April. Only my second backpacking trip ... I am a definite newbie.

He'll be 9 in August. He may want to forget all the lightning and hail we had on our adventures, but, yes, it was a good adventure again.

Spectacular shot, and fantastic experience for your son. Thanks for sharing. And thanks for seeding the next generation of backpackers!
