From the Bluegrass myself.....Louisville area
LBL has sixty miles plus, BARF has 18 plus, There are lesser known KY hikes that can be done on military bases by the public....

I was in pike county earlier this year for hillbilly days. I was there a couple of years ago when my 96 year old aunt had her birthday and my 86 year old mom decided to finally get baptized.

I was in pike county earlier this year for hillbilly days. I was there a couple of years ago when my 96 year old aunt had her birthday and my 86 year old mom decided to finally get baptized. My dad is the youngest of 7 of a coal miner in Pike County. He is very successful and wanted to show us where he was raised until 5th grade when he moved to Norfolk. It made me appreciate our families situation now after seeing where he was raised.
