planning next year out, and figure i should probably spend at least one weekend in the big south fork...
so recommend me a good route....
a loop is preferred but anything can really go.....
not looking for heavy mileage---maybe 15 ish miles over two days....
and route should have a good place for me to camp...
much thanks......

Its not 15 miles, but a good weekend trip is the honey creek loop, with an overnight stay at the halfway point by the river.

yeah, Honey Creek is pretty friggin awesome. the 5 miles is rugged enough that I would recommend you treat it as 7 or 8 miles.
also, they did end up connecting the missing piece of the John Muir Trail via Honey Creek... so one could tack on some extra mileage going that way, and heading back towards the Burnt Mill Bridge. I've never done either.
I don't have mileage in front of me --my marked up NatGeo map is at home-- but here are some routes/sites I enjoyed: -Rock Creek Loop (and the JMT spur heading out to HWY 154) -Hidden Passage (can be combined with Rock Creek) -Laurel Fork -Twin Arches Loop -Maude's Crack (really cool) there's also a big chimney (natural) off trail near here
