Still working insane hours under tons of stress. Down another 2.5 lbs.
I think I fractured a finger during last week's mud run, but my hands were too cold to feel it.

walkswithblackflies , that is the most sucky thing. Jobs shouldn't be so stressful. After a bit, it just starts creating health issues. :( Last week was my Hell week and this week has the same potential with auditors here and more rain and snow in the forecast for the better part of the week. M: Nada Tu: swim 700 yards - morning - tapped out with a 13.5 hour work day W: Nada - worked 12 hours Th: Nada - worked 10 hours F: Managed a 1 mile dog walk Sa: We went camper shopping and I didn't get a workout in this day Su: 3 mile walk in the mountains around 9,000' followed by a 3 mile bicycle ride with the husband. At about 1.5 miles he discovered he was having issues with an ingrown hair, so we aborted early. M: This morning I managed a 2.6 mile run before work. Hoping to get out of work at a decent time and eat dinner so I can go to Yoga tonight. As mentioned, Tues - Friday this week are supposed to be complete crap. After being teased with this last weekend, I'm ready for the nice CO sun and warmth (just not too warm. lol)

Last week was okay. Starting to get my groove back. Sprint tri is 5 weeks away. But, I'm thinking I'll take the rest of the summer off (but continue training). We're bringing a new toy home tomorrow night and need to get a couple vehicles paid off. So, no more race entries until August'ish. I haven't purchased my 'A' race, Olympic distance tri, yet. But I still plan to enter us (my husband and I) in the Xterra race as a relay team in September.
M: Run 2.6 Miles Tu: Rest W: Run 2.8 Miles Th: Swim 1,000 yards - The swim is becoming very enjoyable. I'm able to string laps together 100 yards at a time and I managed a 150 yard swim without rest at the end. w00t! F: Run 2 miles (I'm getting my speed back, slowly but surely! Sa: Rest Su: 9 mile bicycle ride - first outside ride (excluding the 3 mile ride I did last weekend) since last October. Pretty slow, all in all. Weather is getting nice enough to be able to start riding to work again. Speed should come back in no time. The afternoon was spent doing driveway work and preparation for our new camper rig. Trees were limbed-up and dirt moved around to correct an off camber area of our driveway.
We pick up our rig Tuesday afternoon and cannot wait!

Still at the job from hell. 1.5 more weeks then schedule becomes much more manageable.
I'm burning around 4,000 calories per day just at the job site, so not much activity after work. I got out for a hot (85F) hilly and muddy 9 mile trail run on Sunday. Last weekend I was running in a rain /snow mix!
Only perk of this job... down 15 lbs in the past 2 months.

I have two weeks to catch up on.
Week of 5/13 M: Run 3.2 Miles Tu: Swim 600 yards, 2 mile dog walk - We picked up our new camping rig this day. <3 W: Rest - prep cooked for inaugural camper trip to Fruita and packed camper Th: Rest - drive to Fruita F: Walked the dogs about 4 miles around Fruita desert Sa: Walked the dogs 4 miles around the Fruita desert Su: Rest - Drove home
Week of 5/20 M: Rest Tu: Swim 800 yards W: Rest Th: Swim 1,000 yards F: Rest Sa: Run 4.5 Miles Su: Rest M: Bolder Boulder 10k. - I wasn't completely ready for this, as is evidence of my logs above. I finished 4 minutes slower than my time in 2017. I was sick all of February and had health issues in April. My training was sidetracked also by trying to split between the three sports. I need to find a plan that works and stick to it. Also, if the weather would improve, it might be slightly helpful! Today I am sore
Tri Bella Sprint Triathlon coming up 6/22. Hopefully I can pull my sh!t together before then.

Week of 5/27 was another okay, week. I really need to up my cycling game. It's been pretty non-existent. Too much to do at home and it seems to be such a hassle to load into the car. I'll be loading it up this Wednesday to ride into work from South Boulder. Hoping there are no afternoon storms.
T 5/28: I already reported Monday last week, spent at the Bolder Boulder. Tuesday I took a rest day. W: Run 2.1 miles to loosen up the muscles Th: Swim 800 yards F: I actually took a mid-day lunch break and walked 1.5 miles. I had to work late and didn't manage to get out of the house for a proper run first thing in the morning. Sa: We loaded up the camper and head over to Lake Grandby for a quick overnight away. Walked the dogs probably a total of 3 miles. Su: only got a 1 mile walk in with the dogs before packing up and heading home. Much needed break from life.
My Sprint Triathlon is quickly approaching and my nerves are going through the roof; especially since I've not done any training bricks and my weeks/weekends are pretty loaded up until the weekend of the Tri.

Done with the most stressful phase of The Project From Hell. Yay me!
Still down 15 lbs from my high earlier in the year.
The last 2 weekends I've done trail runs of 14 miles. I'm feeling good on hills. The first had a modest 1,200' of elevation gain, and last weekend's run had 2,500'.
Now that I might have a more manageable work schedule, hopefully I can get a couple shorter runs (or bike commutes) during the week. I also plan to start lifting weights and/or P90X.

Last week was my work hell week, I still managed to get some decent time in, however.
M: Worked Late Tu: Worked Late W: Run 3.7 Miles Th: Swim 900 yards F: I had planned to bicycle, but storms moved in the afternoon and changed my plans, so nada. Sa: I did a brick, since my tri is only a couple weeks out. 9.1 mile bicycle ride followed by a 2 mile run Su: Swim 1,300 yards. Something clicked while I was in the pool yesterday. I slowed my stroke way down and was able to control my breathing enough to freestyle swim non-stop for 300 yards.
So, I'm resting today. Tomorrow I'm going to my first OWS of the season. I'm testing out a new wetsuit. Hopefully it works for me.

Project From Hell keeps rolling along with a strong nod to Murphy's Law. I'm not on-site nearly as much now, finding myself in the office almost full time. That has its own issues. I got so used to the stress and fast pace, that I'm nearly falling asleep at my desk now. And there's the sitting... sooo much sitting.
I was wiped out all week. Although I felt good at the time, the previous Sunday's run left my legs feeling like lead. To loosen up and get the blood flowing, I went for a mid-week 5-mile flat run, and felt OK, but the next day I was wiped out again. On Sunday morning I woke up not feeling like running. But I forced myself to, and I was glad I did. It was far from my best run, but it was a very pleasant day for a run in the woods.
All that, coupled with the fact that I can eat normal meals again, has seen my weight increase slightly for the first time since March.

That should help the workday a bit. Hang in there and hopefully things improve soon!
