Sounds like you had perfect timing. Lots of water coming over the falls & some color on the trees.

Sounds like you had perfect timing. Lots of water coming over the falls & some color on the trees. Definitely perfect timing. I ran into a local hiker at the falls, and he had never seen this volume of water. Especially like this one. I bet that's a swimming hole in warmer temps. Notice the 3 crosses at the base of the big rock?

Notice the 3 crosses at the base of the big rock? Not until you pointed it out. Interesting.

They're gone, now. Can't believe I never noticed this thread. Visited Laurel-Snow for the first time a few weeks ago, and really enjoyed it. Was supposed to come back down to the Richland Creek site, but decided to make camp early and stay up by Snow Falls since there were no people. This would be very high on my list of quickie overnighters if it weren't so far from where I live. Loved the creek, the waterfalls and the history-pretty much everything about it. Those pics make me wish I was still toting a camera instead of just using my phone! Not so much flow when I was there: Huh. Wonder what's up with the miniature pictures?😒

Uh...those crosses are still there. Saw them on a return trip this week, blew up one of my pics from March, and there they were. Maybe I'm going blind...

Something mysterious and possibly sinister may be going on with those crosses. We need you to check on them periodically -- not a disagreeable task, given the scenery. Chances are you won't meet with any malevolent supernatural forces.
