And we also use them for windbreaks for the stove...and it sure feels good under your old knees when you are climbing into the tent. Never thought of that one...thanks you're real knee saver! |

I carry a 12.5" x 9" x 0.38" piece of blue closed cell foam weighing in at .036 oz. I like this idea. I have been using a section (probably 2ft x 2ft) of a piece of Frogg Togg pants that had gotten ripped. I use it for the same exact purposes but I like the idea of using the closed cell foam pad for padding. Excellent! |

A couple of large safety pins. There are times when nothing else seems to work. The one task I read about that would be on the queasy side, is to use one to connect an accident victim's tongue out of the way for assisted respiration. Its always a good story for around a campfire though.
Use of a sock for a re-breather on cold nights or when the air temperature is way above my body temperature.
