Have taken a few rod trips in the Arkansas Ozarks over the last several weeks. Some pretty good color, but generally muted browns and yellows; little orange or red. Drove a loop yesterday up the eastern Ozarks and then over to western side. Colors are still going pretty good on the east side; most of the west side have dropped their leaves. There were some nice colors driving south on state highway 21.
Plan to visit the Ouachitas this week.

Made a run through the Natahala gorge again yesterday.....the leaves have fallen....but still, there's a lot of beauty, even without them.
I love being in the mountains.
