Not very spectacular around here.....leaves are falling without turning......it's been a wet year....and for the last few days the mosquitoes have been horrible.
Anyone in the south got any color at all?

My 2 hackberries are changing to red, but a lot of the leaves are dropping right after they change. The maples trees in my neighborhood are doing the same. Leaves turn yellow but dont stay on the tree long.
I'm headed to the mountains Thursday evening for a long weekend to see whats happening up there.

Spent the weekend in the Round Mtn / Lemon Gap / Max Patch area. Still no fall colors yet.

I just hiked through the Standing Indian Basin area this past weekend. Looks like the leaves are starting to turn in that area.

We've had two frosts this week in the Chattanooga area. That should get the color started.

Work took me up to Asheville NC yesterday....left Chattanooga and went Highway 64, along the Ocoee river, to Murphy, and then north through the Natahala Gorge.
Color is spectacular. It's on. Don't miss it!

The Oklahoma Ozarks are almost at their peak this weekend. This is in our fence-line Made a drive up to far north Arkansas from Little Rock to Jasper area yesterday (Friday 11/2). Despite a forecast of 10% rain, musta hit the 10% all the way north of Russleville, including a long hail storm. Ended up bailing. Supposed to get rain through Tuesday. If it clears up, will try again. The colors were pretty good, but the rain was a hindrance. I think they could be even better early next week.

I drove up to Decatur this afternoon. Colors were pretty good on the drive. I hope they are as nice when I drive to Atlanta on Monday. Maybe I'll be able to get some pictures at camp this week. Meanwhile, I'll enjoy all the ones posted here.

I spent the last two days backpacking in Big South Fork. Color is peak! The view from Maude's Crack Overlook in the Sunday morning early light was sublime, with mist shrouding the valley and the autumn colors slowly growing more intense.

Even though we are camping here in FL this weekend, all the pictures of the fall colors have me envious. I told my spouse next year we will go. It's been since 2011 since we were there for peak colors.

This year has been the best in the Oklahoma Ozarks in years. It is set to end, though, as the temperatures are to be well below freezing at night for the next few days.
