Now at 2020 year's end, a couple best close-ups from this year's work.

Our common crimson columbine from extra close-up using a 10mm extension tube with my 60mm lens. Downsized 1500 pixel version from the relatively small 3000x3500 pixels original 1 frame 13 image focus stack blend. Very difficult work out in the field requiring dead calm and absolutely still camera set up plus long hours in post processing eliminating out of registration elements. The stem frame upper right was only in modest focus, a result of not getting in enough shots before a breeze arose.

At the San Jose Rose Garden, this Floribunda variety named Rainbow Sorbet. I seek subjects where I can position my tripod/lens to put close-up subjects up against blue sky. Downsized to 1500 pixels from the original 4700x3800 pixels, 1 frame 4 image focus stack blend A6000 60mm
