Forty year old acrylic that I painted for my dorm room in Yosemite Valley (24"x30") Cool!

Well, if we're going abstract... But this isn't abstract. It's real. Scale, location, height/angle... you decide. Is that by chance a vehicle in the upper left?

I'm pretty sure it's small-scale: a rivulet, and full of minerals of some sort.

echo , I LOVE that kaleidoscope photo.
There are so many photos - I love them all, each in a different way. These inspirational threads are such mood lifters.
I'm pretty sure it's small-scale: a rivulet, and full of minerals of some sort.
I've been trying to figure out what the scene is since reuben posted it the first time. Am I missing something? I don't see anything which provides any bearings or clue to size - no scale to act as a gauge.
At first I thought maybe reuben had been hiking on Mars.

I don't see anything which provides any bearings or clue to size - no scale to act as a gauge. Precisely. It's up to you. If there was an elk, mountain, river, shark, human, building, or moon in the scene you would be locked in by the object, and you would have a sense of scale. With this image you can let your imagination run wild. You can even have more than one idea. You are free.

I may or may not be a chocoholic but I look at reuben’s picture and the top section is a brownie. In that case the rest of it is just getting between me and the chocolate

the top section is a brownie Oh, wonderful idea! Okay, I see a brownie, a rivulet of orange sauce, milk chocolate with some triangular chunks in the orange cream river, and sprinkles of milk chocolate batter which wasn't completely mixedin. Turning an interpretive photo into something with chocolate is always a great idea, especially for us chocolaholics.

Nice stuff coming in! Just reminding everyone to toss in your wide-format photos (we'll crop to fit, but the image should lend itself to a 2:1 ratio), and to go through and "like" the ones you'd like to see on the header!
