If I were in Bisbee now I'd probably skip California. Took a look at the weather forecast and it was like .. nope. Besides visiting family and a little work, I was able to squeeze a hike in north of San Francisco with great sunny weather while AZ was hit with snow (see the TR thread on that). Of course the weathers about to turn the opposite way ... and got an invitation to Big Bend NP.

Self medicating...I got bit by something today in the yard. Like a knife in the hip...pain and rash for hours but it has subsided. Had a Voodoo Ranger IPA and a Hazy Little Thing, plus a little Hot Damn. Cured.

It’s $2.50 Tuesday at Boise Brewing so I’m having a Hip Check IPA.

A guy at work, who's been on the team for six or seven years, couldn't figure out what the problem was. Then when he came to the wrong conclusion, he couldn't figure out how to solve the (incorrect) problem. I've been there since January, and I nailed it in about 10 minutes. Nice guy, but neither technically savvy nor motivated. And oh, the questions he's asked! Some have made my jaw drop.
I need a drink. Dogfish 60 is in the fridge, so that's what I'll have. Thanks.

Had a Voodoo Ranger IPA and a Hazy Little Thing, plus a little Hot Damn. Cured. Good for what ails you. I think I have one of these left

I went for iced coffee in the afternoon. Had enough beers, etc. for a while.

Lamebeaver That looks yummy! I like sours, but I've pretty much given up beer. It's just a sip here and there now.

Chinatown in Seattle this Tuesday. This didn’t have much of a taste (liquor?, wine?), but a pretty decent kick ... and nutritious (has a fruit drawn on it ... duh)

Quite the Tuesday...Went for an afternoon hike (unusual for me.) It was a lot of fun. I had some beautiful clouds which continued to develop into a major thunderstorm right over me. I heard thunder once, so I said to myself, if there's three close by, I'll turn around. (A month ago, two lightning/thunder strikes happened on our hike and we bailed on our fishing. The two were all there was...) Well I had continuous action about twenty minutes after the first thunder. Over fifty times. Then got the rain. So I had been hiking in the light rain, but when it got heavy with some hail mixed in, I got out my raincoat. I had an umbrella, too, but maybe not the thing to use during such active lightning. But I was already soaked...just protecting my cameras.
What does this have to do with the backpacker bar? I was so cold (soaked with 53* at the trailhead and a measly 82* at home...100* yesterday,) that I didn't want a beer! But after removing all my wet clothes, I later enjoyed a Hazy Little Thing while making a salad.

Whenever we went on a dive trip with Truth Aquatics, we had to make the drive to Firestone Walkers brew pub in Buellton. In honor of all of the lost souls from this weekends dive boat tragedy, I'll hoist a glass of Double Barrel ale

This IPA from Four Peaks (AZ) was pretty good but they substituted citrus for some of that pine

This one was very tasty from San Diego, arguably the center of brewing West Coast style IPA
