This was taken a couple of days after our Teton Crest Trail hike. It was a bit of a surreal moment with the sound of the horses galloping on the heavy soil and rocks all while the bull elk were bugling in the background. I so love this place.

This was taken a couple of days after our Teton Crest Trail Man. You couldn't have paid to get such a perfect set-up with horses and all!

Man. You couldn't have paid to get such a perfect set-up with horses and all! They just kept coming! I have about 10 photos of probably 30-40 horses that ran by us over the course of about 2-3 minutes. It was another great day in Wyoming.

I've never failed to be inspired in one way or another by photos here on the forum, whether they're of feet, clouds, animals, mountains or people. It's my "go-to" place when I need eye reief from Internet surfing or need mental therapy.
I don't comment often, but everyone, please know that I am so appreciative of your art work.
daveb , I love the horse photo; it's such a contrast of color, texture and shape, but most of all, a sense of freedom to see horses running free. It's kind of in the category of seeing a whale breach, or a bird soar, a combination of action contrasted with motionless scenery.
hikerchick395, your photo is magical, a beautiful blend of pastels softening a hard surface, and contrasting with the foliage. Absolutely stunning.
All the other photos are inspiring, lovely, and soothing, but unfortunately I'm at a loss right now for descriptive terms so I'll just say that I've bookmarked this thread and plan to return to it all winter long, especially when the doldrum days of February, dirty snow and longing for green leaves and the soft touch of the sun in spring creates a longing for winter to be over.

I think that we are all enjoying the seasonally-themed thread, and I will try to bring up one for each season. Maybe bring them back each year (I know we have had some, though I couldn't find a fall thread) so we can keep building on them. If people are interested, I will try to think up other themes we can post to, as well. I, at least, have some fun trying to come up with photos for them (as in the "Feet on the Trail" thread).

Ha...it is good that this is a seasonal thread @rebbecad because my photos (from facebook) will disappear as, I think, they occasionally change the "addresses"

I like this idea. I already enjoy feet on the trail and it's all about the clouds threads also.

Autumn is on it's way to Arkansas. After a very hot & humid few weeks, the high/low temps in Little Rock are currently in the 75/65F range. Oh yeah baby!! Bring it on!
