Another year closer - Went down to the local dispensary (two here in Mammoth), and they were celebrating too. Giving away two 20% off "chips"... (could use one immediately), couple of "Happy 4/20/2017" prerollers, and a chance to spin their big wheel. It landed on "Glass"...top prize! Picked out a nice (price tag $150!) hand-blown bubbler from the selection. Ain't California grand.

Woodstock is over. 1969 was nearly a half century ago. Not clear to me the significance of 420. Someone please explain...

Not clear to me the significance of 420. Someone please explain... Something about the California penal code for obstructing entry onto public land.

Contrary to what I may have implied in the two word thread, I do not frequently partake. Quite rarely, and only on trips with my BFF in Ft Collins. But I don't have a problem with this lifestyle. Other questionable habits are much, much more destructive.

I'm thinking that $150 for blown glass that was so similar to chemistry glassware that I was making in high school in twenty minutes may be a little over priced. Leave it to Californians to inflate the cost of living.

The medical marijuana people have a good point that it helps patients get more calories (probably the whole " ... hey, dude, ... how about some peanut butter on that pizza ... and as a Dorito dip? .." thingy. The recreational pot people latched on ... and it can be argued, Peyton Manning opening pizza franchises in Denver.

On April 20, 1970, my HS senior class staged a day of protest, so to speak. Many of us dressed like gangsters with double breast suits (if we had them), dark shirts, and dark ties w/matching handkerchief stuffed into the breast pocket. Those of us which had fedoras wore those as well. Some of the girls joined in and dressed like 1920s flapper girls. Supposedly it was Al Capone's birthday. It actually wasn't, it was Adolph Hitler's birthday but we didn't have the internet back then to check. Anyway, we came to school dressed up like gangsters, talking and acting like gangsters. It was a way to rebel. (Remember this was 1970.) Anyway, it had its intended effect, it upset school officials. They tried to stop our cheeky "protest" by making us remove our ties, jackets, etc. That was my first 4/20 celebration. I don't partake of weed anymore but I also have no kick against it. Live and let live is my motto. Rumi

And it became to be known just as Jeff Sessions Day.

trinityDude, don't be a buzz kill. Whatever, you're still cool in my book. Yep, that punk jeff sessions (lack of caps intended, out of disrespect) comes immediately to mind. So much for states' rights? I used to work for someone who joked that he was going to test, just to make sure that I was using - ha ha.
