A light (lazy) week. I also felt cold every minute of every day from Tuesday to Saturday. I don't know what's up with that.
M: My son was sick, so I stayed home. Got some household projects done. Ran 5 miles at an easy pace. Tu: Son still sick. Continue household chores. Did some shopping with him in the afternoon which involved some walking. Knee sore... possibly from Spartan training on Sunday. W: Shovel snow for 15 minutes. Knee still sore. Th: Household chores/projects in the evening. F: Household chores/projects in the evening. Sa: Household chores/projects. Got a big shelving project done that freed up an entire room in our house. Knee sore again. Su: Household chores/projects

Tu: Son still sick. Continue household chores. Did some shopping with him in the afternoon which involved some walking. Knee sore... possibly from Spartan training on Sunday. I get sore knees when I move up in weights. I tend to remember, because of sore knees, to be a bit more aware of how I am or not twisting my knee. Such as with LandMine twists, I have to add in a knee twist as the weight reaches a point. I can still do the lift with out the knee twist but then I am doing a stiff knee and that is where I get sore. As time goes on and I get used to the new weight, my knee is better able to withstand the motion and I forget about needing to do a knee twist and the soreness remind me. Perhaps, with the renewed workout for the Spartan race you might be putting a new strain on your knee(s) at some point. Might be to do the exercise but a bit slower to see which movement is causing a body twist but where, also, you are holding your knees stiff.

Perhaps, with the renewed workout for the Spartan race you might be putting a new strain on your knee(s) at some point. Looking back, it was either something overstressed due to plyometric movements associated with my Spartan workout, or I bruised it crawling across the frozen ground (as part of my Spartan workout).

Well you take care, I, for one, am looking forward to your success at the Spartan. My wife, Sept 2018, will be doing the Spartan in Idaho.

I just scored a free ticket to a Spartan race of my choice! Shall I attempt a Beast? Yes, yes I think I shall.

Upcoming holiday and very busy at work meant I wasn't able to exercise as much as I'd like.
M: Ran 6.5 miles at a good clip. Knees felt fine. Tu: Shovel snow W: Weights - Back/bis + deadlifts Th: Weights - Chest/shoulders/tris Fr: Shovel snow Sa: Work in the field (went up/down a ladder about 100x); shovel snow/ice Su: Light housework, in constant motion
I did some abs a couple days as well. Weights felt good, and I wasn't very sore the following days. I also caught up on some much needed sleep.

I just scored a free ticket to a Spartan race of my choice! Shall I attempt a Beast? Yes, yes I think I shall. It's official! Beast (12-15 miles, 30-35 obstacles) at Killington (VT) in September! Apparently, it is the 2nd hardest Spartan course, with over 6,000' of elevation gain. What did I get myself into?!?! That should definitely give me something to train for in 2018!!!

That will be awesome! I picked up my first pair of Trail Runners, courtesy of my husband as a b-day gift, in Sedona. Time to start the training for my first Trail Half in June! Now, if the weather would just cooperate a little. Sort of wishing we were still in Sedona!

Now, if the weather would just cooperate a little. Micro spikes, work pretty well.
