Once while camped at Heart Bar in the San Bernardino Mountains, my wife and I were first entertained by the call of a sawhet owl; sounds similar to a back up indicator on a vehicle. After a few hours of non-stop vehicle in reverse, our entertainment turned to annoyance. I decided to make the call of a great horned owl. After a few hoots, the sawhet owl moved away from our camp. Later the next morning, we had the pleasure of meeting tarol's parents, who happened to be the camp hosts. cool Have we met? I don't recognize your name

tarolIf I remember right, you issued our wilderness permit from the Mill Creek Ranger Station. The next morning, when we met your parents, my wife and I set out from Aspen Grove to Mineshaft Flat, where we enjoyed a few days in complete solitude. So, in passing, we have met :D
