Unlike last year, where the parent eagles did not start right off and even took breaks from incubating the eggs, mom and dad Berry are doing a whole lot of incubating. It's not pip watch, yet, but the Berry staff is excited that there may be a quick hatching.

I happened onto the Berry Eagle site and Mommie Berry, after a bit of grooming got off the nest. It looked like a pip to me. The camera operators where changing focus and angles to get a better view. Now just awaiting official news from the Phd.

On the Berry eagle web cam site there is a great screen capture of B8 and of pip B9.

The little chicks are growing. Right now they are in that goofy foot stage where the chicks stand up but don't quite know how to use their feet. They have lost that puff ball look.

The approach cam is not working correctly. We might miss some of the intrusion encounters this season.

It is still a wow moment to see how fast they are growing. I see that their close hatch dates have staved off the fighting between the two siblings.
