Greetings, Basecampers… REI dividends are now out. I just got an email notification this morning. I received just less than $29 back. How’d you do….? What are you going to get? If I don’t take it as ca$h in a few months, I’m thinking of using it with some store credit I have to get a pair of ON Cloudsurfer Trail Waterproof Trail Running shoes. I also want to sell back a few items to their RE/Supply program if I go with the new ON shoes. www.rei.com/product/228721/on-cloudsurfer-trail-waterproof-trail-running-shoes-mensHappy Trails, DR

I might buy some more dehydrated meals. Since they changed over to Cap One from US Bank, I stopped using their card for everything.

I've also stopped using the card. My dividend this year is 0. I also didn't buy hardly any gear last year as I've pretty much have what I need. I was in the market for a new tent but I was gifted one and I probably wouldn't buy a tent from REI anyway.

$9,042. kidding, I normally don’t get more than peanuts as I usually only buy stuff that’s on sale.

With the new system I have spent as I go, so no great bonus. Sometime in the next few months I’ll spend Mom’s dividend for her; usually enough to buy some socks and a meal or something.

36.90. Looks like I bought some miscellaneous bike and kayak stuff. Now all I need is time.

I was surprised by my $70-ish sum (guessing it’s different than the REI card minute dividends I get every month). but applied most to some aftermarket insoles for my next 3 pair of zero-drop trail runners for spring ultralight hiking in the desert.
I typically use REI for footwear and consumables, .. shopping cottage makers for major gear (may change as I switch to “travel” gear).

$21.40. I'm not sure what I'll buy. I'll probably apply it to clothing later in the year.

$3.50. I was hoping for more. Looks like a power bar or window sticker.

4$ that I used towards a BA Copper Spur 2 UL bikepacking tent. I went to the Williston , Vt. store. Very nice, and the salespeople were very cool. I set the tent up in the climbing section with the salesperson who owned one and used it extensively with her husband. She got me the last one in the store, which was over in biking and 180$'s off. I know DR is up for a job there- looks like a good bunch of people out on the floor. If he does get it, I have a living suggestion- Vergennes. Nice little town with hiking and kayaking and bike trail roads, 16 miles from the store on scenic farm roads, decidedly out of the Burlington/Charlotte/Williston mall sprawl. There's also Jericho, out towards the west face of Mansfield. My closest friend commanded an Army firing range there until this fall. Great x-c and downhill skiing to be had over that way, and Mansfield is an impressive mountain, though I like Camel's Hump better.

Just $28 so it’s not much, probably fuel for my summer trips.

I used my dividend, the 20% off coupon and two gift cards I had for this pack…

$57.50. We don't have an REI credit card, so there must have been some shopping last year.
added to the 20% coupon currently online, a pair of patagonia hiking pants (quandaray) went from $99 to $26. excellent.
