And don't even get in the same room as coconut oil. That and many other no no's from the 1980's. Now coconut oil is a health food. Eggs are on their 3rd iteration of bad and the list of contradictions goes on. I give up. Guess I'll just go outside and eat dirt.....with butter on it.

Now coconut oil is a health food. New-age snake oil. Coconut oil has more saturated fat than lard.

Coconut oil has more saturated fat than lard. Yeah, but which would you rather pop your corn in?

For the sake of community discussion so others understand your perspective, what is the source of your complaining?

Nutritionists tell us to eat more whole grain.
Beer is made from grain, and I drink the whole bottle. So I am good!
I also started getting some great numbers on my Fitbit since I started putting it over the neck of my beer bottle.

Specialists of all stripes tend to get tunnel vision, and nutritionists are no exception. It often works out poorly when the masses take their advice at face value.

I wonder about two of my staples: Is coffee bad for you? Is red wine bad for you?
These two seem to change often.

We'll just stop this debate right now. Coffee is good for you. As soon as you disagree with this, you are required to send any coffee in your possession to me, per some statute I just made up. Same goes for Whisky (or whiskey) that you have. You are welcome to send a batch of cookies also as I'm pretty sure they are bad for you/good for me.

Betasterols are shown as beneficial to men's health, specifically prostate health. Betasterols are found in many foods, but especially nuts and seeds.
Also found in Bourbon!
So go for it guys. Drink more Bourbon. It is good for your health.

Chocolate is made from cocoa. Cocoa comes from cocoa beans. Beans are a vegetable.
Thus -- a chocolate bar counts as a serving of vegetables.

Yeah, well, look what happened to Humpty Dumpty. Sittin' on that wall with all his cholesterol, then dead. I've never liked eggs that fall off of walls and can't be put back together. I like eggs that are smart enough not to fall off of walls, that don't break. Eggs with big yolks.

I’m a bit more concerned that the average American eats 154 lbs of sugar per year, 133 lbs of high glycemic wheat and 110 lbs of very high glycemic potatoes. That screws up the system and blocks proteins and fats from working correctly. One theory now is the out of control high glycemic carbs are the problem and not fats or cholesterol. But anything in excess is not all that good. Better to practice moderation.
We cut all sugars and high carb foods out of our diet seven years ago and feel like a million dollars. We didn’t wait until those things poisoned our health.
But hey, follow the path you desire because one thing is for sure, no one here gets out alive…
I take my eggs poached. Make sure the yokes are runny.
