Sunday morning I plan to start a journey from Ashland to Cascade Locks on the Oregon portion of the PCT. It's not quite 500 miles but close enough for government work.
I am happy about this. Although I wish I could do the entire PCT SoBo, I will be content with this portion for now. I think I am physically fit and should not have any problems. My only worry is if my feet, knees, and hips hold up to the daily grind of this length. But you never know.
And for my soundtrack I choose this song ...
I hope to update as I travel, though I may wait till I finish.

How's the weather looking? I don't know the terrain, but I'm figuring it'll take you about 35 days at 15 miles a day plus down-days.
Keep us appraised!

Did that exact walk a year ago. There’s some nice heights and plenty of fishing (i.e. beer drinking) lakes to drink beer at, plus other lesser supplies. Watch for skeeters though ..

Have a great hike! Push yourself but be safe and sensible. Naw, scratch the second part. Just be as safe as you can.

Wonderful! I could use a good long hike myself, but it won't happen soon.

Have a great trip!
I need to get back on the workout horse myself - and get to the mountains.
