The abridged version is finding my great-grandparents graves, visiting Philmont Scout Ranch, visiting our son and his family at the Grand Canyon (and doing the tourist thing which made my knee ache badly at times), Cameron Trading Post, Monument Valley, Durango and Silverton Railroad, and driving through thick snow southeast of Farmington.
We had a very good time despite the knee. My wife bought me a silver-tourqoise watch band for my birthday (next month). We had a great time with just each other.
At home, we've missed the Oklahoma flooding as we don't live in the areas being flooded although the Arkansas River is 30 miles south of us. The tornadoes have gone around us too.

Keep up the therapy and hope. My wife's experience seems like complications and slow progress after knee replacement are really undersold.
Glad you had a good trip. Hope you're on the trail soon.

This sounds very good to me. I'd take it. Sometimes what seems wonderful depends on where you're sitting. Great trip report.
