Thanks HSF. Interesting that Tioga Pass Resort bought Saddlebag as they have their own restoration issues.
Seems like TPR has found some investors. I see this a good news for both resorts.

That’s how I read the situation as well: signs of stability given the understandable financial stress of the reconstruction.
I just hope they didn’t emotionally leap at a rare opportunity and stretch themselves too far.

When TPR collapsed there was a lot of concern expressed on several climbing forums, some of which have fairly well off participants. I think it will work out. I've stayed at TPR, but not at Saddlebag.

Digging into this, it appears TPR was purchased around 12 years ago by investors from Mammoth. Not sure if they are connected to the Mammoth resort of not. I tried a google search to see who bought TPR with no luck.
Will be interesting to see what plans the owners have.
