Alright, alright already! Beets Beer Brussels sprouts Single malt scotch Bacon Okra Drop bears Vests Ice cream floats - ice cream then soda, or soda then ice cream? Bratwurst Kilts Vegemite behind the ears Beets: pickled Beer: dark, sweet, and strongly alcoholic, like my women Brussels sprouts: hard pass Single malt Scotch: Bruichladdich Bacon: Dry-cured Okra: Cola Drop bears: Jagulars Vests: down Floats: Milk in first Bratwurst: surprisingly, Wisconsin-style, and grilled Kilts: Pride of Wales tartan, or New York City, and yes, you should wear undergarments. This isn't the Battle of Bannockburn. Vegemite: tastes like insecticide. Marmite ONLY.

Truth be told, the only kilt I still own is a full length Campbell (otherwise known as Black Watch) tartan hostess skirt which is now too small for my expanding middle-aged girth. I should very much like to afford to have new ones made in the aforementioned "Pride of Wales" tartan from Lochcarron (STA 7515), or the New York City tartan, the city of my birth (also from Lochcarron, STA 3812).

I should find out if there are any Filipino tartans, now, since some traditional forms of Filipino women's dress are strikingly similar to Scottish tartan kilts and sashes. Also, summer-weight kilts made from traditional Filipino plaids woven from piña fiber would be really nifty. I am, by the way, 50% Filipina, 25% German, 18.75% English, and 6.25% Welsh.

If I have not yet made it obvious, if you ask my opinion on anything, you run the risk of receiving a dissertation in return. :D

Eh? The question was which goes in the glass first, ice cream or soda. Milk wasn't an option.

Single malt Scotch: Bruichladdich Diu ye nae mean "jings crivens", laddie?! I'm sure it's delicious gcvrsa . I've had un-peated Scotch such as Auchentoshan, but the most notable characteristic of the Islay region is the peat. In my mind it would be like a Portland brewery making a lite pilsner. Sure you "could" but why? But hey, hike your own hike, and drink your own Scotch! If you ever make it out to Colorado I'd happily share a wee dram with yie.

I have a vague plan for a trip in Caithness and the Orkney Islands, home of my maternal ancestors, next spring. A Clan Gunn kilt will be a must. We are a rather small clan, but not to be messed with. We carried a grudge against Clan Keith for almost 700 years...
